It was only a year ago when everyone seemed to have a romance with Samsung and every Galaxy device that arrived on earth was met with euphoria and great excitement. A year has since passed and it appears to me that everyone seems to have ditched Samsung devices and news of any Galaxy gadget release has been very quiet.
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S4 with big fanfare and mind blowing marketing budget but only to report lower than expected revenues couple of months later. Recently, the Galaxy note phablet was rejuvenated with the most recent generation – Note III – but I guess it’s caught you unaware as very few bloggers decide to write about it.
Well, I’m not really a Samsung fan but I’ve been hearing lots of great stuffs about the Note 2. A year ago, I was really craving for it but was not able to do so because my contract wasn’t up for renewal yet. As a consolation, I told myself that if Note 2 is actually great, there will certainly be Note III which (in theory) should be better and more exciting. Now that I am almost running out of my contract and entitled to upgrade, I am disappointed with the Note 3 that I have seen to date. If it is good, why no one cares to discuss about it? But having seen so many happy Note II users within my social circles, it has been ingrained in me that the Note phablet is the next-best alternative to the iPhone.
I’m stuck now and could anybody tell me what to buy? Should I adhere to my initial plan still and continue with Note 3? Or choose Moto X?
